This August I photographed Joy and Rob’s Rosecliff wedding. We started the weekend with their welcome dinner at a private home in Newport, and then continued documenting their wedding weekend in Jamestown and Newport. This New York couple were so much fun to work with – there was a lot of laughing. We’ve had a very rainy wedding season this year, but I’ve been lucky to work with couples who just embrace the weather. In Joy and Rob’s case, the rain didn’t stop them from traveling via boat from Jamestown to their Newport wedding.

Joy and Rob prepared for their Rosecliff wedding at separate private homes in Newport and Jamestown. After getting ready in Newport, Rob took a boat to meet Joy at a captain’s house in Jamestown. They had their first look on the house’s large porch, and took some portraits. We then took the boat back to Newport for their wedding ceremony at the historic Trinity Church. Close friends and family took a trolley to Rosecliff, where they partied with a Wilson Stevens band into the night.

Rosecliff Mansion Wedding

Rosecliff mansion is one of my favorite places to photograph. Rain or shine, we know we’ll be surrounded by beauty and have lots of options for photographing. I have so many options for locations at Rosecliff, that it’s easy to move indoors or outdoors for beautiful portraits. It also helped that Joy and Rob assembled a wonderful team for their wedding day. Exquisite Events planned their wedding and were on-site throughout the day. They also coordinated the decor. Hinckley Yachts provided boat transportation, Blackstone Caterers catered the event, and Confectionary Designs created the cake. Stoneblossom designed the florals, and Joy wore a dress by Ines Di Santo.

Beautiful work, Lisa. Would it be possible for us to use some of your imagery for client presentations and/or on social media? Best, Steve
