In mid-September I traveled to Nantucket to photograph Kellie and Blaine’s Nantucket Yacht Club wedding. After getting ready at private homes, they traveled by antique bus and car to St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Their wedding ceremony ended with a bubble front door recession. Led by a soprano saxophone player, they processed with their wedding party through Nantucket’s cobblestone streets. We photographed portraits of Kellie and Blaine around town, including a beach and docks.
Nantucket Yacht Club Wedding
Meeting the wedding party back at the Club, we took group portraits with friends and family. The cocktail hour was topped off with a sunset canon salute. Their reception was filled with laughing and dancing. As the evening ended, guests gave Kellie and Blaine a confetti send-off as they made their way by boat to the White Elephant inn.
