Calyn and John were married on the most beautiful September day at the Crane Estate. The Crane Estate is in Ipswich on the North Shore of Massachusetts and is one of my favorite places for a wedding. I love the Olmsted designed gardens, the house, the history. There’s a very strong vibe of the past. We took wedding party photos and some portraits on their vast rolling lawn. Their garden wedding ceremony in the ruins was like a dream. Just as the sun was reaching a perfect angle, the ceremony began. We photographed their portraits in the ruins and then joined guests on the lawn for cocktail hour. After their tented dinner reception, guests joined them in the mansion’s ballroom for the cake cutting and dancing. The amazing King of Hearts band entertained guests through the evening. It was a beautiful day that I will never forget. This is the story of Calyn and John’s Crane Estate wedding.

A Crane Estate Garden Wedding

Before Calyn and John were married, we photographed their engagement photos at the Crane Estate. It was a cold winter day with snow on the ground…. such a contrast to their wedding but beautiful in its own way. I remember leaving my house in the dark so that I could meet them in the early morning at the estate.
