Melissa and Eric recently had a Gurney’s Newport wedding. Gurney’s is located on Goat Island in Newport. Over the years and when it was the Hyatt, I photographed many wedding couples getting ready there. This was the first wedding that I photographed at Gurney’s and I loved it!
Gurney’s Newport Wedding
I’ve based my business in Boston since starting it in 2009. At the time, I lived there and many of my clients were from Boston or having weddings in town. Since then, I’ve relocated my personal home back to Rhode Island. Providence has been the perfect home base for photographing weddings throughout southern New England, including Boston, Newport, Connecticut, and the Cape. I love photographing Newport weddings, especially since Newport is not far from where I grew up. I have so many memories of Newport from over the years. This is crazy, but my high school prom actually took place at this hotel! I may not have gone to my prom, but I’m making up for it in my adult life by going to fun wedding parties every weekend.
Almost all of the Newport wedding couples I work with live outside Rhode Island. Newport is a destination wedding location for them. There are so many things for their guests to do in Newport: mansions, beaches, boats, great restaurants, shopping, history, and wonderful places to stay. Like most of my Newport wedding couples, Melissa and Eric live in New York City.
It was such a pleasure to work once again with the amazing Em Devaud. She and her team seamlessly and beautifully coordinated Melissa and Eric’s day. Stoneblossom provided the most elegant floral arrangements throughout the wedding and ceremony. Scroll to the end of this post for more vendor credits and details.
