This summer I photographed Bridget and Jason’s Boston Public Library wedding. We started coverage with their preparation at the Four Seasons Boston and a private home. Their ceremony was held at St. Ignatius Church in Chestnut Hill, and then we headed over to the Boston Public Library for cocktails and reception.
Boston Public Library Wedding
I have photographed more weddings at the Boston Public Library than any other venue. I started working here back in 2009, with a small wedding whose ceremony took place on the grand staircase. Since then, the library has been a constant for me each year. It’s one of those venues where we do not worry about rain or snow — and I’ve photographed here in both of those scenarios. Wherever you turn, there’s a patch of beautiful natural light, a colorful mural backdrop, or an iconic and historic architectural element. Day or night, the library always provides everything we need for stunning wedding photographs. Bridget and Jason’s wedding was one of three weddings that I photographed at the BPL in 2018, and in 2019 I will return for another three weddings.
Wedding Vendor Dream Team
All of the beauty you see in Bridget and Jason’s wedding was the result of a team effort. First, I cannot thank my photo team enough: Kelly Lorenz and Vince Schaefer. If you ever wonder how we get an overhead view of a bride walking down an aisle or a shot of the couple exiting the church while still covering the interior recessional: it’s because we worked as a team. Rafanelli Events were an absolute dream to work with and coordinated so many logistics that made the photography a success. Scroll to the end of this post for more vendor details.
