Next up on my featured favorite wedding venues: the Boston Public Library. I’ve photographed more Boston Public Library weddings than any other venue. It’s definitely one of the loveliest Boston spaces in which to photograph weddings.
Boston Public Library Weddings
One of the nice aspects of photographing at the Library is the variety of environments. The Library has a beautiful granite exterior, so many interior spaces that are illuminated by natural light, and is in close proximity to Copley’s grassy lawn. It also has a bright courtyard where sunlight bounces around and creates flattering portraits. The sheltered areas of the courtyard allow us to photograph bright, naturally lit portraits even on the rainiest of days. In fact, the first portrait below was photographed on a very rainy day. You can even see a bit of slick brick pavement towards the edge of the walk. Everywhere you turn, there’s another architectural angle ready to beautifully frame your subjects. At night, the Boston Public Library becomes magical.
Here are just some of the weddings and couples I’ve photographed at the Boston Public Library.
