If you don’t follow my Instagram feed or know me in person, you may not know that I love winter. People tell me I was born on the coldest day of the year and the clouds appeared frozen in the sky. And so I’ve always loved early darkness, twinkling lights, and bundling up in winter clothes to meet the challenge of the cold. I love the strange quietness that happens as the snow falls, and I even love the sound of plows scraping by on the street. It’s no surprise that I loved that Tara and Scott decided to be married in the winter. They got ready at the W Hotel Boston and had their wedding ceremony and reception at Central Bistro. It didn’t snow for their winter wedding, but they did have that warmth that comes with a cozy bistro reception, a glittery bouquet made of brooches, and a ceremony lit by lanterns.
I met Tara when she coordinated a W Hotel wedding that I photographed in 2011. Little did she know at that time that she was about to meet Scott. And here we are almost five years later at their wedding.
