I recently photographed Hayley and Pat’s Chatham Bars Inn wedding. Their ceremony was held at the Holy Redeemer Church and their wedding reception took place at one of my favorite venues: the beautiful Chatham Bars Inn.
Pat and Hayley got ready for their wedding at nearby homes: Hayley in a cottage a few blocks from the church and Pat at his parents’ home in nearby North Chatham. Their adorable and justifiably spoiled French Bulldog “Penny” stayed with Hayley during the getting ready portion. She was joined by her Pug cousin, “Minnie.” People sometimes ask if I’m ok with animals being around during the photographing and all I can say is a resounding “yes!” I absolutely love animals and they’re great company for people during photographing, especially on their wedding day. They also make great pictures.
Holy Redeemer Church Wedding Ceremony
Because Hayley got ready close to the church, she walked the few blocks to the ceremony with her bridesmaids. After the ceremony, Hayley, Pat, and their wedding party walked from the church to the Chatham Bars Inn which was just down the street. While we took some group and individual portraits earlier in the day, Hayley, Pat, and I went out to the CBI’s gorgeous waterfront at sunset for more images.

Chatham Bars Inn Wedding
There’s something about the way the sun sets at Chatham Bars Inn that just gives the most gorgeous colors and I love trying to capture them. They ended the day with a live band, roaring dance party, and sparkler exit.
Special thanks to my photo assistant for the day, Hannah Gunnell. As usual, Kate Mann of the Chatham Bars Inn did a wonderful job coordinating their wedding events at CBI. Hair and makeup were provided on-site by the salon which I also visit: La La Luxe in Providence, RI.
Gorgeous!
