Katie & Ian: The Old North Church Wedding + Smith & Wollensky, Boston

June 3, 2013

Boston Public Library Courtyard Wedding

What do you do when it rains on your May wedding day? The atmosphere and light at Katie and Ian’s wedding were almost enough to make anyone wish for rain at their wedding. We did change plans to photograph outdoors in the Public Garden and instead stopped at the Boston Public Library’s courtyard for portraits. Their ceremony at Boston’s Old North Church followed. Yes, that’s the Old North Church from Paul Revere’s ride: “One if by land, two if by sea.” So you’ll see a few lantern pics here. They had their reception at Smith & Wollensky’s Battle Room.

My friend Li Ward photographed this wedding with me and these images are the result of our collaboration. We always have so much fun working together! Some vendor notes: the floral arrangements were designed by Winston Flowers, and Katie’s wedding gown was designed by Monique Lhuillier. Ari Rosenfield of Beat Train Productions was the DJ.

Exquisite images, Lisa. So emotional, clean, bright and lovely. Love watching your work get even better through the years.
